JAKARTA — PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) has temporarily removed Reza Aulia Hakim from his position as the company’s Commercial Director.
The decision was made by Garuda Indonesia’s Board of Commissioners and will take effect on August 14, 2026. The temporary removal refers to the Board of Commissioners’ Letter No. GARUDA/DEKOM/074/2026 dated August 11, 2026.
The decision also took into consideration a letter from the Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), No. SR-452/BP/08/2026.
Garuda Indonesia Vice President Andreas Tumpal Hutapea announced the decision through the company’s public disclosure on Wednesday (August 13, 2026).
“The Board of Commissioners has decided to temporarily remove Mr. Reza Aulia Hakim from his position as the company’s Commercial Director effective August 14, 2026,” Andreas said in the disclosure.
Acting Commercial Director to Be Appointed
Following the temporary removal, Garuda Indonesia’s Board of Commissioners will appoint another member of the Board of Directors to carry out the duties of Commercial Director.
The appointed executive will serve as Acting Commercial Director in accordance with the company’s applicable internal regulations.
Garuda Indonesia emphasized that the management change would not directly affect the company’s operations.
“The company ensures that all operational activities will continue to run normally,” Andreas said.
The temporary removal of Reza Aulia Hakim marks the latest change in Garuda Indonesia’s management. In the meantime, the duties of Commercial Director will be carried out by an appointed executive until further decisions are made regarding the position.
