Jakarta – Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has emerged as one of the key figures in the Red and White Cabinet contributing to positive public sentiment toward President Prabowo Subianto in the digital space, according to a study conducted by Sintesa Strategi Indonesia (SSI) using the DataLinker digital monitoring platform.
The study places Gibran in Tier 1, alongside Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, as the cabinet officials making the strongest positive contribution to online discussions and media coverage related to President Prabowo.
SSI found that, out of 231 million content exposures associated with the keyword “Prabowo,” Gibran was among the most prominent figures generating positive public sentiment. The study recorded Bahlil Lahadalia with a 40.1% positive sentiment, followed by Gibran Rakabuming Raka at 31.5%, and Teddy Indra Wijaya at 24.1%.
In terms of online exposure, Gibran recorded the highest number of content impressions, reaching 8,591,176, surpassing Bahlil’s 8,040,519 and Teddy’s 5,488,883.
SSI also identified a Tier 2 group consisting of Muhammad Qodari, Fadli Zon, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). Within this category, Qodari registered the highest positive sentiment at 73.3%, followed by Fadli Zon at 50%, and AHY at 46.2%, although their overall content exposure was significantly lower than that of the Tier 1 figures.
Overall, SSI concluded that public perception of President Prabowo remains generally positive in the digital sphere. Positive sentiment stands at 41.5%, compared to 13.8% negative sentiment, while 44.7% of online conversations remain neutral.
However, the report also notes that the government’s communication strategy continues to rely heavily on President Prabowo’s personal profile. Of the 231.4 million total content exposures related to Prabowo, less than 20% were directly associated with members of the cabinet. Content linked to cabinet officials accounted for just over 33 million exposures, indicating that only a handful of cabinet members currently play a significant role in shaping the government’s digital narrative.
The findings suggest that Gibran has become one of the most visible cabinet figures online and a major contributor to positive public sentiment surrounding President Prabowo, highlighting his growing prominence in Indonesia’s digital public discourse.
