JAKARTA – Febrie Adriansyah has officially resigned from his position as Indonesia’s Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). His resignation was accepted by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Saturday (July 11, 2026).
Anang Supriatna, Head of the Attorney General’s Office Public Information Center, said the decision was made out of respect for the ongoing legal process. He explained that Febrie stepped down to help preserve the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the institution while the investigation by the National Police is underway.
Despite the leadership change, the Attorney General’s Office emphasized that all duties and ongoing corruption investigations under the Special Crimes Division will continue in accordance with existing legal procedures. The institution also urged the public to respect the legal process and uphold the presumption of innocence.
Febrie’s resignation came after investigators from the National Police’s Corruption Crime Corps (Kortastipidkor), assisted by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, searched his private residence in Sentul, Bogor. Febrie previously confirmed that the property belonged to him and stated that he was prepared to cooperate fully and provide clarification through the proper legal channels.
The development has drawn significant public attention, as Febrie has overseen a number of Indonesia’s most prominent corruption cases during his tenure. As of now, the Attorney General’s Office has not announced who will replace him as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes.
