Ari Askhara Resigns as HUMI President Director

Jakarta — I Gusti Ngurah Askhara Danadiputra, better known as Ari Askhara, has submitted his resignation from his position as President Director of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk. (HUMI). The company received his resignation letter on August 14, 2026.

HUMI disclosed the information through a material information report submitted to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on August 19, 2026. According to the report, Ari’s resignation has not yet taken effect, as it still requires approval from shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).

The EGMS will discuss changes to the company’s management structure. HUMI has not yet announced the date of the meeting and said further information regarding its schedule will be provided later.

Until the EGMS is held, the company’s management and operations will continue to be carried out by the Board of Directors in accordance with the company’s Articles of Association and applicable laws and regulations.

HUMI also emphasized that the resignation would have no material impact on the company’s operations, legal matters, financial condition, or business continuity.

Just Seven Months in Office

Ari Askhara was appointed President Director of HUMI on January 14, 2026, through an EGMS. He replaced Tirta Hidayat, while Indra Yurana Sugiarto was appointed as a director, replacing Dedi Hudayana.

According to HUMI’s 2025 Annual Report, Ari’s term began on January 14, 2026, and was initially set to run until the company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2027. With his resignation submitted in August 2026, his tenure as HUMI’s President Director has lasted only around seven months.

When he was first appointed, Ari outlined an agenda focused on boosting revenue through fleet expansion and business diversification. He also emphasized operational cost efficiency, stronger financing and financial management, service quality, and human resources development.
