Former Finance Ministry Official Wibawa Pram Sihombing Appointed PT PII Business Director

Jakarta – PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), or PT PII, has appointed Wibawa Pram Sihombing as its new Business Director. The appointment was announced through PT PII’s official Instagram account.

In the post, PT PII congratulated Wibawa on his new role and expressed hope that his appointment would bring new strategic initiatives to strengthen the company’s role in supporting sustainable infrastructure development and public services in Indonesia.

The appointment also marks Wibawa’s move from the Ministry of Finance to the state-owned infrastructure guarantee company.

Before joining PT PII, Wibawa Pram Sihombing served as Head of the South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi Regional Office of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN). He remained in the position throughout 2026. In April 2026, for example, Wibawa led the organizational performance and risk dialogue at the DJKN regional office, which recorded an Organizational Performance Score of 115.54 percent through March 2026.

In early 2026, Wibawa was also active in communicating government policies related to state asset management. During a regional APBN press conference in South Sulawesi in February, he presented data on non-tax state revenue from state asset management and auctions, as well as developments in state assets across the South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi regions.

More Than Two Decades at the Ministry of Finance

Wibawa has a long career in the Ministry of Finance. He began his civil service career in 1999 at the State Financial Accounting Agency (BAKUN).

Following the Ministry of Finance’s organizational restructuring in 2004, he moved to the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb). During his time at DJPb, Wibawa held various positions, including section head, head of a State Treasury Service Office (KPPN), and positions in directorates responsible for government cash management, budget execution and financial management of Public Service Agencies (BLUs).

Official DJPb records show that Wibawa was involved in the development of several policies and innovations in government cash management. His name has also been recorded as a speaker on cash planning and government financial management.

In 2023, he was appointed Head of the DJKN Regional Office covering Papua, West Papua and Maluku before later being entrusted with leading the DJKN Regional Office for South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi. His career profile also records that he earned a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

His extensive experience has given Wibawa a strong background not only in public financial management but also in state asset management and fiscal policy.

New Challenge at PT PII

As Business Director of PT PII, Wibawa will take on a role closely connected to the financing and development of Indonesia’s national infrastructure.

PT PII carries out the government’s mandate to provide guarantees for infrastructure projects. As a result, the Business Director plays an important role in developing the company’s business, including strengthening guarantee schemes and supporting infrastructure projects that require greater certainty and risk mitigation.

Wibawa’s extensive experience within the Ministry of Finance and his background in state asset and financial management are expected to provide a strong foundation as he takes on his new responsibilities at PT PII.
