Adhi Karya to Cut All Subsidiaries, Refocus on Core Contracting Business

Jakarta – PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) plans to gradually cut its subsidiaries as part of efforts to simplify the company’s business structure. The move follows directives from the Agency for State-Owned Enterprises (BP BUMN) and the BPI Danantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara).

Adhi Karya currently has 18 entities within its corporate group. The restructuring is aimed at sharpening the company’s business focus while supporting efforts to improve its financial condition.

Head of BP BUMN and COO of BPI Danantara, Dony Oskaria, has also instructed Adhi Karya not to establish any new subsidiaries. He said the establishment of several subsidiaries in the past had instead created various problems.

“There will be no more. We have seen that every time a subsidiary is established, it ends up having problems. So stop. There must be no more new subsidiaries, and Adhi must focus on contracting,” Dony said in an official @bumn_id Instagram post on Friday (September 4, 2026).

Adhi Karya is now being encouraged to accelerate its business restructuring to strengthen its corporate structure and sharpen its business focus. The process includes divesting certain assets and businesses, merging subsidiaries, and consolidating its property portfolio under Danantara.

Previously, BP BUMN and BPI Danantara held a meeting with Adhi Karya’s board of directors on Thursday (September 3, 2026). The meeting discussed the progress of the company’s streamlining process and financial restructuring.

As part of the transformation, Adhi Karya has been directed to strengthen its core business as a professional contractor. Work quality is also being emphasized as one of the key priorities in the company’s business restructuring.

“I hope that the results of this entire process can make Adhi healthier, and that we can focus solely on being a contractor with good quality,” Dony said.

Adhi Karya’s financial restructuring is also targeted for completion in September 2026. The restructuring is expected to strengthen the company’s foundation while creating a simpler and more integrated business structure.

Meanwhile, Adhi Karya’s subsidiaries in the property sector, including PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk, will undergo due diligence to obtain a comprehensive assessment of their business conditions. The results will serve as the basis for determining the best course of action going forward.

With a simpler corporate structure and a renewed focus on its contracting business, Adhi Karya is expected to achieve healthier financial conditions, strengthen its competitiveness, and deliver sustainable, quality growth.
