Jakarta – The State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) has officially appointed retired Lieutenant General Teguh Arief Indratmoko as President Director of Perum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (PERURI), replacing Dwina Septiani Wijaya, who had led the company for more than eight years.
The appointment was stipulated through BP BUMN Decree No. 345 of 2026 and Decree No. 346 of 2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of the President Director and the Chair of PERURI’s Supervisory Board.
In addition to the change of President Director, BP BUMN also appointed retired Lieutenant General Geerhan Lantara as Chair of PERURI’s Supervisory Board, replacing Marlinson Hakim.
Head of BP BUMN and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, explained that Teguh Arief’s appointment was not solely based on his military background, but was aligned with PERURI’s characteristics as an institution with a strategic role for the state.
According to Dony, PERURI is not merely a commercial enterprise, but a state instrument that carries out a vital mission in safeguarding state documents and the government’s control system.
“PERURI is essentially a government instrument for control, not an ordinary commercial company. Therefore, the appointment of its directors is adjusted to meet those security needs,” Dony said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta.
Profile of Teguh Arief Indratmoko
Teguh Arief Indratmoko is a retired Indonesian Army officer and a graduate of the Military Academy (Akmil) Class of 1988, from the Kopassus Infantry branch. Before retiring, he served as Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces Academy, the institution overseeing the Military Academy (Akmil), the Naval Academy (AAL), and the Air Force Academy (AAU).
Born in Banyumas, Central Java, on September 19, 1965, he has a long track record within the Indonesian military. His previous positions include:
Commander of Infantry Battalion 122/Tombak Sakti (2003–2004);
Assistant for Logistics to the Commander of Kopassus;
Commander of Kopassus Group 2;
Commander of the Regional Military Training Regiment (Rindam) I/Bukit Barisan;
Commander of Military Resort Command (Korem) 022/Pantai Timur;
Senior Officer at the Headquarters Detachment of the Indonesian Army (Denma Mabesad);
Commander of Military Resort Command (Korem) 091/Aji Surya Natakesuma, a position that earned him the rank of Brigadier General;
before eventually being entrusted as Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces Academy.
Challenges in Leading PERURI
As the only state-owned enterprise responsible for printing the Indonesian rupiah, revenue stamps, passports, excise stamps, and various state security documents, PERURI is also undergoing a transformation into a Government Technology company, providing digital identity services, electronic certificates, digital signatures, and various cybersecurity solutions.
Therefore, both physical and digital security have become key considerations for the government in determining the company’s leadership. Teguh Arief’s appointment is expected to strengthen PERURI’s security governance amid the increasingly complex challenges of protecting strategic state data and documents.
