Jakarta – The name M. Iskandar Kunaefi has reportedly emerged as the candidate to be appointed President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). As of now, the information remains unconfirmed and has not been officially announced by Danantara or PT Pos Indonesia.
If the reports prove to be true, Iskandar would bring a strong professional track record spanning investment, infrastructure, and sports business management. He previously served as a member of the Investment Committee at PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo (JIP), a subsidiary of Jakarta-owned enterprise (BUMD) Jakpro that focuses on infrastructure and property development.
Previously, Iskandar was known as the Operations Director of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB), the company that manages Persib Bandung football club. In this role, he was involved in strengthening the company’s operations, business development, and promoting collaboration between the sports industry, the government, and various stakeholders.
Iskandar has also received national recognition after being included in the Fortune Indonesia 40 Under 40 list, which features the most influential young leaders in Indonesia.
In addition to his corporate career, Iskandar is the son of the late Major General TNI Aang Kunaefi, who served as Governor of West Java from 1970 to 1975. Nevertheless, his professional career has been built through his experience in investment, management, business transformation, and organizational development.
If officially appointed to lead PT Pos Indonesia, Iskandar will face the challenge of accelerating the company’s transformation amid increasingly intense competition in the logistics industry. Strengthening digital services, improving operational efficiency, and expanding the logistics business are expected to become key priorities for the company’s new leader.
As of the time this article was written, neither the government nor PT Pos Indonesia had made an official announcement regarding the appointment of M. Iskandar Kunaefi as President Director. Therefore, the information is still awaiting official confirmation from the shareholder.
