Jakarta – Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the questioning of Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, Member V of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), as a witness in the investigation into the alleged bribery case involving suspended Muara Enim Regent Edison. The examination is scheduled to take place this week.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said Bobby’s summons was intended to further examine a number of findings obtained by investigators, including electronic evidence seized during the search of Bobby’s residence some time ago.
“It is indeed scheduled for this week by the investigators. We will provide further information on the schedule later,” Budi told reporters at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building on Wednesday (July 15).
According to the KPK, Bobby’s testimony is needed to clarify the contents of the electronic evidence that has been secured. Investigators are also continuing to examine Bobby’s relationship with suspect Angga, a private individual who is alleged to have had access to influence or manipulate the BPK audit process involving the Muara Enim Regency Government.
Previously, the KPK searched Bobby’s residence in Jakarta and seized a number of electronic items as evidence. The search lasted for two days and was conducted to strengthen the evidence in the investigation into the alleged bribery related to the BPK audit in Muara Enim Regency.
The case began with a sting operation (OTT) that led to the arrest of suspended Muara Enim Regent Edison. In the course of the investigation, the KPK uncovered alleged bribery aimed at influencing the BPK audit results concerning the procurement of smart boards by the Muara Enim Regency Government. Investigators suspect there was an attempt to change the audit opinion from Qualified Opinion (WDP) to Unqualified Opinion (WTP).
The KPK emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing and urged all summoned witnesses to cooperate so that the case can be thoroughly uncovered.
