House Commission I Begins Vetting 25 Indonesian Ambassadorial Nominees

JAKARTA — Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has begun conducting fit and proper tests for 25 nominees for extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of the Republic of Indonesia to various countries and international organizations.

The vetting process is being held over two days, September 22-23, 2026, at the Commission I meeting room in the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.

Deputy Chairman of Commission I Anton Sukartono said all nominees on the list would undergo the evaluation according to the schedule that had been set.

“Twenty-five nominees. It has started and will continue for two days until tomorrow,” Anton said on Tuesday (Sept. 22, 2026).

Commission I member TB Hasanuddin also confirmed the number of nominees. They are being considered for diplomatic posts across several regions, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

List of 25 ambassadorial nominees

The following are the nominees undergoing the fit and proper test at Commission I:

  1. Irawan Ronodipuro — nominee for Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, concurrently accredited to Mongolia, based in Beijing.
  2. Baringin M.H. Panggabean — nominee for Ambassador to the United Kingdom, concurrently accredited to Ireland and the International Maritime Organization (IMO), based in London.
  3. Desra Percaya — nominee for Ambassador to India, concurrently accredited to Bhutan, based in New Delhi.
  4. Iwan Freddy Hari Susanto — nominee for Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, based in Amman.
  5. R. Heru Hartanto Subolo — nominee for Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, based in Athens.
  6. Azis Nurwahyudi — nominee for Ambassador to Colombia, concurrently accredited to Antigua and Barbuda as well as Saint Kitts and Nevis, based in Bogota.
  7. Sigit Suryantoro Widiyanto — nominee for Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, based in Dili.
  8. Albert Abdi — nominee for Ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania, based in Dar es Salaam.
  9. R. Sigit Witjaksono — nominee for Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, based in Khartoum.
  10. Darianto Harsono — nominee for Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, concurrently accredited to the Maldives, based in Colombo.
  11. Winanto Adi — nominee for Ambassador to Kuwait, based in Kuwait City.
  12. Epiphania Riris Wusananingdyah — nominee for Ambassador to Peru, concurrently accredited to Bolivia, based in Lima.
  13. Tri Tharyat — nominee for Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, based in Madrid.
  14. Josef A. Nae Soi — nominee for Ambassador to the Philippines, concurrently accredited to the Marshall Islands and Palau, based in Manila.
  15. Bagus Hendraning Kobarsyih — nominee for Ambassador to Kazakhstan, concurrently accredited to Tajikistan, based in Astana.
  16. Achsanul Habib — nominee for Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, based in Phnom Penh.
  17. Wahyuni Refi Satya Bekti — nominee for Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, based in Manama.
  18. Ayodhia Gehak Lakunamang Kalake — nominee for Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, concurrently accredited to Botswana.
  19. Lintang Total Paramitasari Parnohadiningrat — nominee for Ambassador to ASEAN, based in Jakarta.
  20. Zaim Al Khalis Nasution — nominee for Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, based in Tehran.
  21. Ratieh Sanggarwaty — nominee for Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia, based in Tunis.
  22. Mohammad Iskandarsyah Derry Aman — nominee for Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, based in Warsaw.
  23. Dindin Wahyudin — nominee for Ambassador to New Zealand, based in Wellington.
  24. Dewi Justicia Meidiwaty — nominee for Ambassador to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, based in Vientiane.
  25. Yulastiawarman — nominee for Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, based in Zagreb.

The fit and proper test is part of the parliamentary process before the DPR provides its consideration on ambassadorial nominees proposed by the government.
