JAKARTA — The Presidential Palace has denied reports that Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno is ill and planning to resign from the Red and White Cabinet.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that Pratikno is in good health and continues to carry out his duties as Coordinating Minister.
“He is healthy, as far as I know. There is no information that he is ill. As for resigning, if he isn’t even sick, there’s no resignation. There hasn’t been any,” Prasetyo told reporters at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday (August 11, 2026).
Prasetyo also confirmed that, as of now, there has been no information regarding Pratikno’s resignation from his position.
Reports suggesting that Pratikno was ill and would resign emerged amid renewed speculation about a potential cabinet reshuffle in the Red and White Cabinet.
The speculation comes as the government faces growing scrutiny over economic conditions and cabinet performance.
