Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has officially reshuffled the leadership of Indonesia’s Attorney General’s Office (AGO) through a Presidential Decree. Several strategic positions have been filled with new officials, ranging from the Deputy Attorney General to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the appointments became legally effective upon the issuance of the Presidential Decree, meaning the officials do not require a formal inauguration by the President. As a result, the newly appointed officials are authorized to immediately assume their respective positions.
The new appointments within the Attorney General’s Office are as follows:
- Asep Nana Mulyana – Deputy Attorney General.
- Leonard Ebenezer Simanjuntak – Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum).
- Kuntadi – Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
- Harli Siregar – Head of the Attorney General’s Office Education and Training Agency.
- Patris Yusrian Jaya – Head of the Attorney General’s Office Asset Recovery Agency.
Kuntadi’s appointment as the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes has become one of the most closely watched changes in the reshuffle. He replaces Febrie Adriansyah and will oversee the handling of special criminal cases, including major corruption cases that have drawn significant public attention.
The reshuffle is part of the government’s effort to strengthen the performance of the Attorney General’s Office by renewing its leadership in several key positions. The government expects the new leadership team to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement, particularly in combating corruption, handling general criminal cases, and optimizing the recovery of state assets.
